Obituary for Linnie Dianna "Diane" Ramsey (Stoudermire)

Linnie Dianna Stoudermire was born on May 3, 1949 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Ernest and Mary Stoudermire. She graduated from Howard High School. Linnie continued her education, going on to receive a degree in accounting.

Linnie accepted Christ as her savior at an early age. She joined the New Covenant Christian Ministry in 2003. There, she was a faithful steward and always spoke her mind.

Linnie worked at Stanley Works as an Administrator for 30 years until she retired. After retirement, she became a caregiver. She cared for many loved ones, and helped several families during their time of need.
Linnie’s hobbies were playing cards, travelling, and visiting casinos. Everyone knew that she was a big Atlanta Falcons fan, and she loved to watch the Dirty Birds play.

Linnie was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Mary Stoudermire; sister, Mildred Tatum; brother, Ernest Stoudermire, Jr.; and sister, Jeannette Stoudermire.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving ex-husband and close friend, Cecil Ramsey; sons, Fred Kendricks Jr., of Atlanta, Georgia, and Chris Kendricks Sr., of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter, Karen Smith of Lawrenceville, Georgia; sister, Ms. Antonette Stoudermire; brother, Mr. Jerome Stoudermire; grandchildren, Tiffany Kendricks, Monterio Kendricks, Chrishauna Kendricks, Chris Kendricks Jr., Justice Kendricks, Cameron Kendricks, Elijah Kendricks, Matthew Kendricks, Mitchell Kendricks, Kristen Phillips, Kayla Phillips, Kierra Phillips, Michael Smith, Mya Smith, Chauntia Kendricks, Antonio Kendricks, Jaelyn Crudup, Kennedy Crudup, Mossiah Kendricks, Jossiah Kendricks, and Legend Crudup; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Linnie Dianna Ramsey, 69, of Decatur, passed Friday, June 1st, 2018.

Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, June 9th, 2018, 11:00 am, at New Covenant Christian Ministries 1760 Phillips Road Lithonia, Georgia 30058. Interment Kennedy Memorial Gardens.

Public Viewing will be Friday, June 8th, 2018 10:00 am until 8:00 pm at Herschel Thornton Mortuary 3346 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW Atlanta, Georgia 30331.
